MRCOG Part 3 Curriculum

The Part 3 MRCOG assesses the application of knowledge, attitudes and practices in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

The 15 core Knowledge Areas are examined in 14 assessed tasks in an examination circuit.

The tasks will either involve a simulated colleague or simulated patient

Each task will assess up to four of the core skill domains using both clinical and lay examiners.

  1. Patient Safety
  2. Communication: with patients and families or with colleagues
  3. Information gathering
  4. Applied clinical knowledge
